I am privileged live in two wonderful places, the high plateau lands of Southern Utah, and the vast Mojave Desert. Both places are a great inspiration to me spiritually and influence my work.

Sun colored purple glass is a man-made remnant that is now part of the desert landscape. It has been around since the mining days. Sometime in the late afternoon, take a look at the color of the shadows on the desert hills in the distance. It is purple. Purple glass reminds me of that color and when I make a window with lots of sun purple glass I am reminded of these long low purple shadows. Work tables Ear of the Wind East.
